Elin Isaksson

Elin's glass making career began in her native Sweden, a country famed for its studio glass tradition. She attended the Orrefors Glass School from 1998-2000 and moved to Scotland in 2001 to study for a BA in Architectural Glass at the Edinburgh College of Art graduating in 2004. She went on to attain a Masters in Design from the College in 2005. She has worked and trained at glass studios in Scotland, Denmark, Sweden, Italy and India and has won many scholarships and awards for her work. In 2009 she set up her own glass studio and gallery drawing inspiration for her work from her travels and the intrigue of the play of light on the colours and textures of nature. Elin is based in Stirling where she creates her glass work and runs glass blowing courses open to the public.
