Overview

Fiona works from her studio in rural Aberdeenshire. She has an MA (hons) degree from Aberdeen University and a post-graduate MFA degree from Gray's School of Art.

 

In 2021 her painting 'Perch' was long-listed for the Scottish Portrait Awards. She has also exhibited at Bonhams in Edinburgh, the Royal Scottish Academy and the Battersea Art Fair in London.  In 2017 she won the 'Robert Fountain Best Original Print Award' at the Society of Equestrian Artists for a drypoint etching of a Shetland Pony.

 

Fiona currently works in oils and watercolour and has extensive experience with various printmaking techniques, illustration and photography.  She paints expressively and freely with a deep love of colour.  She likes to experiment with the texture of paint and uses energetic brush-strokes to keep her paintings impressionistic and lively.
