Kirstie Cohen
Since graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 1988, Kirstie Cohen has built up a strong fan-base with her powerful landscapes. In paintings reminiscent of the great Romantic tradition she depicts the drama of a mountain range or seascape in a way that feels real and specific yet also a product entirely of the imagination; a non-existent place. Kirstie lives and works in Invernesshire (check) exhibiting widely throughout Scotland and England. She has won many awards including the Nancy Graham Memorial Prize and the prestigious Hospitalfield Scholarship.
