For the last forty years or more I have lived and worked in the Northern Isles, first
Orkney, and since 1991 in Shetland. My studio overlooks the sea which has
generally been my main source of inspiration. I use watercolour as my medium
because for me it’s the most natural form of paint with which to re-present the
elements around me. I’ve had numerous exhibitions both in the UK and abroad
and was elected the the RSW last year.
