Born 1957 in Edinburgh, Jonathan was educated in Fife and Angus and attended Duncan of Jordanstone College of Arts from 1976 to 1979 going on to study drawing at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris in 1979. He became a full-time artist in 1989 and has exhibited widely throughout Scotland including the Aberdeen Artists' Society and Royal Scottish Academy. His work is held in private collections throughout the world.
