I am an artist based in Oldmeldrum, north east Scotland. Graduating from Glasgow School of Art in the early nineties with a degree in woven textiles, I went on to work in the field of interior design and education for many years before returning to my passion; painting. I have always been drawn to land and seascape. Living in the north east I am spoiled with colours that change hourly in the fields and huge expansive skies that bring light to this part of the world. I use a combination of acrylic paints, pastels and charcoal to freely explore my enthusiasm for colour and line. I am currently exploring the history of forgotten places surrounding our coast, from lighthouses to caves and wrecks and aim to bring the remnants of these stores to my paintings.
