Graeme Swanson is an abstract landscape artist, born in Aberdeen, graduated from Grays School of Art and now based in Edinburgh where he has a studio in Leith."I see my own painting process as a form of visual narrative, like imaginary adventure stories, expressing the excitement of discovering new places, the aura of ancient or historical sites, describing the atmospheric effects of the contrasting moods of the weather, patterns on landscape conveyed through a creative process with colour built and spread, wiped, and then working back through layers,in order to reveal hidden stories beneath, I add more surface and colour to explore new avenues and directions giving the previous expressions of these works a a new visual story."
