Joe Fan RSW is a celebrated Scottish contemporary artist known for his richly imaginative oil paintings and masterful draughtsmanship. Born in Hong Kong and now based in Aberdeen, Scotland, Fan graduated from Gray’s School of Art in 1983 and went on to work as a studio assistant to the legendary Scottish artist Alberto Morrocco. His work is highly sought-after for its surreal, dreamlike compositions that blend classical influences with a playful narrative style.

Joe Fan’s paintings often feature whimsical figures, theatrical settings, and symbolic imagery, drawing comparisons to Renaissance art, yet unmistakably modern in tone.
