Colin Brown – Contemporary Scottish Mixed-Media Artist

Colin Brown is a renowned Scottish contemporary artist best known for his distinctive mixed-media collages that blend painting, photography, and found materials. With a career spanning over three decades, Brown has exhibited widely throughout the UK, Europe, and the USA, earning an international reputation for his innovative approach to visual storytelling.

Born in Dundee and now based in North East Scotland, Colin Brown draws inspiration from art history, popular culture, and personal travels. His work often explores themes of memory, identity, and time, layered with historical references and striking visual textures. Each piece invites the viewer to explore a richly constructed world where fragments of the past are reassembled in bold, thought-provoking compositions.

Brown’s artwork is held in numerous private and public collections, and he has participated in major art fairs and exhibitions, including shows in London, New York, Amsterdam, and Berlin. His unique aesthetic and experimental process have made him a sought-after name in contemporary Scottish art.
