JOHN O'NEILL with ceramics by LOIS CARSON
John O'Neill is an Aberdeenshire based painter working mainly in oils and watercolour. He recently freatured in SkyArts Landscape Artist of the Year recognisable in his trademark orange jumpsuit.
This exhibition features 34 paintings created both "en plein air" as well as in his studio. His subject matter encompasses the hills and farmland close to Aberdeen, Norwegian landscapes inspired by the years he lived there, historic landmarks such as Dunnottar Castle, surprising city and suburban streetscapes as well as some of Edinburgh's architectural landmarks.
The exhibition features Lois Carson's most recent studio ceramic output. Her appreciation of the natural world is obvious in these pieces inspired by the wildlife surrounding her Aberdeenshire studio.
