As a teacher for many years, in primary, secondary and Additional Support Needs, I always painted and craved more time to immerse myself in art. I’m delighted that that time has come. The changing colours and textures of the Scottish landscape and seasons provide my inspiration. As I try to create a personal, emotional response to what I see around me, my practice involves the creative use of anything that makes an interesting mark. I work mainly in acrylics, collage and mixed media. I want to excite the viewer with an imaginative response, balanced with a familiar sense of place.
