Biography

Christine was born in Aberdeen in 1946 and studied at Gray's School of Art, Aberdeen in the early sixties.  Originally a watercolourist, Christine expanded her palette to include acrylics. She usually begins a work by altering the structural surface which she is to paint by using hand made paper. She builds up areas using PVA which can then be scored into and painted over. Christine draws with her brush and achieves her powerful colours with acrylic inks combined with washes of watercolour.
