My usual practice is painting large scale pieces in watercolour and ink on paper. However, I have enjoyed the different focus that working in a smaller format has brought. Although my large scale work is about emotional impressions and memory of a place, I discovered that small works seem to intensify and concentrate the emotional flavour of a memory.
